Lamki Chuha Municipality is one of the biggest towns in Kailali District of Nepal. Lamki was transformed to municipality in 18 May 2014 by merging two existing Village Development Committees i.e.[1][2] Balia and Chuha. Lamki lies 100 km east of Dhangadhi and 500 km west of the capital, Kathmandu. Lamki is the centre square for Tikapur City and other northern villages of Kailali District and is the major provider of education, health and employment opportunities in the eastern Kailali.

Lamki is one of the main business centres of the Kailali District. As a central point for connecting other main cities and villages of the Kailali District, it has the fastest-growing rate of infrastructure and public services. Availability of all infrastructure in Lamki has driven many people from urban and village areas to migrate to the district.
Transport
Lamki is connected to the Mahendra Highway, which is the longest and oldest highway of Nepal. It is a central meeting point for Lamki-Tikapur Highway and Lamki-Achham Highway, where transport includes Cycle Rickshaws, Public Mini Buses and Public City Buses.

Nata Academy, one of the oldest and private secondary school in Lamki founded in 2002 by Lecturer Mr. Nand Lal Lamichhane and Mrs. Tika Lamichhane. The school is located in the eastern part of Lamki, where more than 300 students from Lamki and Chisapani receive high quality education.
Lamki Pioneers Academy (LPA)
LPA, one of the non-government secondary level schools, is located in the heart of the city and has more than 500 students from all over Lamki. LPA was founded in 2011 by entrepreneurs of Lamki.
Ujjyalo Siksha Sadan (USS)
USS is the newest governmental secondary level school, founded in 2012 as a private school educating thousands of students from all over the city. The school is located in southern Lamki near the Lamki-Tikapur Highway.
Kailali Multiple Campus
KMC is the newest government university level establishment, which has been providing a wide selection of academic courses to thousands of students from urban area of the eastern Kailali District. The Campus is located in east Lamki, near the Matribhumi Jungle.
Kalika Higher Secondary School
Kalika HSS, also known as Tilkeni, is one of the oldest and biggest government high schools, located in the southern-eastern part of Lamki. The school teaches thousands of students from Lamki and Chisapani, and offers a wide selection of Management, Commerce, Science and Education courses.
